Desiccant Dehumidifiers for Corrosion-Free Automotive Storage
Keeping humidity levels at below 55% is vital in minimizing corrosion of metal components on your car during storage. The most cost-effective solution to maintaining optimal conditions in your storage space is the installation of a car storage dehumidifier, based on desiccant dehumidifier technology. Unlike DX (condensation type) dehumidifiers, desiccant dehumidifiers, provide year-round accurate humidity control against prevailing conditions even at lower temperatures where DX systems are unable to perform.
As desiccant can operate effectively at low temperatures this also removes the need to heat the space other than for frost protection purposes. By controlling humidity against prevailing temperatures, it ensures humidity levels also do not drop too low. The importance being too low a relative humidity, can lead to materials such as wood leather and natural rubber to dry out in winter months.
